 For over 35 years, The Malt Shop Restaurant has been serving up our award winning MALTS and MILK SHAKES, HAMBURGERS, SALADS, SANDWICHES and our own SPECIALTIES to Twin Cities Diners. We have always placed a high value on the quality and value of the food we serve. We make all of our soups and salad dressings from scratch using the finest, freshest ingredients. Our hamburgers are made daily from fresh ground beef. We even bake our special cheesecake to complete your meal along with a cup of fresh ground and brewed Morningstar coffee.
The Malt Shop also caters to the VEGETARIAN DINER with a nice variety of choices such as our own Ratatouille, Spinach and Mushroom Lasagne,and our own Cashew or Black Bean Veggie Burgers.
We haven't forgotten the kids with our special KID'S MENU featuring over a dozen healthy menu choices plus games to play and our monthly coloring contest.

New Food Recycling Program reduces Garbage by 50%
The Malt Shop Restaurant has been recycling all of our waste cardboard, office paper and cans and bottles for many years. Now, we are also recycling all of our food waste from our kitchen and our dining room. We now collect all of our food waste in special containers and have contracted with a local farmer who picks up our food waste 2X/week. By separating our food waste from the rest of our garbage, we are able to reduce the amount of garbage we generate by 50% which is reducing our costs and helping the environment by saving gas- only 1 pickup/week instead of 2- and having 50% less trash going to the local incinerator.
Our staff has been very supportive and made it really easy to get this new program up and running. |  | |
