 For over 35 years, The Malt Shop Restaurant has been serving up our award winning MALTS and MILK SHAKES, HAMBURGERS, SALADS, SANDWICHES and our own SPECIALTIES to Twin Cities Diners. We have always placed a high value on the quality and value of the food we serve. We make all of our soups and salad dressings from scratch using the finest, freshest ingredients. Our hamburgers are made daily from fresh ground beef. We even bake our special cheesecake to complete your meal along with a cup of fresh ground and brewed Morningstar coffee.

New Food Recycling Program reduces Garbage by 50%
The Malt Shop Restaurant has been recycling all of our waste cardboard, office paper and cans and bottles for many years. Now, we are also recycling all of our food waste from our kitchen and our dining room. We now collect all of our food waste in special containers and have contracted with a local farmer who picks up our food waste 2X/week. By separating our food waste from the rest of our garbage, we are able to reduce the amount of garbage we generate by 50% which is reducing our costs and helping the environment by saving gas- only 1 pickup/week instead of 2- and having 50% less trash going to the local incinerator.

NEW MENU ITEMS FOR YOUR DINING PLEASURE
We've added some tasty new menu items for your dining enjoyment.
We've expanded our Vegetarian section to include some very tasty new choices like our Black Bean Enchilada, our own Black Bean Burger and a delicious Portabella Mushroom Sandwich.
Try our new Mini Burgers- 3 of our favorites as either an appetizer or a full meal.
And don't forget to check out our daily special. You'll always find something tasty that our chef has created for you.
If we ever take any of your favorites off our menu, just ask and we'll gladly make it for you. Heck, we still make some menu items from the 70's for some of our long time fans. Of course, sometimes we may need a little help from you remembering the ingredients. We are always here for you.
